Comic book fan Nicolas Cage has named his new born baby Kal-El which of course is the Kryptonian name of Superman. Cage is no stranger to Superman or comics. He was scheduled to play in Tim Burton's Superman movie before it was scrapped. He will be starring as comic book hero Ghost Rider next year, and his last name Cage was inspired by Marvel Comics Black super hero Luke Cage aka Power Man.

The new superbaby and mother Alice Kim Cage are fine and healthy. No kryptonite was present, thankfully. The baby's full name is Kal-el Coppola Cage.

Cage has seven films in the works and fans of National Treasure will happy to know a sequel will be upcoming.
