King Kong Lives wasn't that big of a hit. The 1976 movie made $52 million in the US alone while the 1986 sequel made $4,711,220. The 1933 movie almost made that much in it's first outing. King Kong Lives starred Linda Hamilton (Terminator fame) and Deputy Birdwell "Birdie" Hawkins from Sheriff Lobo, actor Brian Kerwin. You remember that old show right the one that starred Claude Akins the nemesis of B.J. and the Bear.
